RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Grants Manager will be a liaison with our Financial Planning & Accounting, Contracts, Tech Services, and other program teams to ensure that the implementation of grant-funded projects and pilots match proposal deliverables, timelines, reports, and budgets. This role will manage and enhance internal grants management processes including monthly communications with internal teams, implementation of new grants, tracking past and current grants, and leading the grant reporting process for current grants. Additionally, this role will manage the Grants Library and support the use of Salesforce or other technology as a grants management tool for past and current grants.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires:
- Candidates must live in the United States.
- 3-5 years of experience in grants management with oversight of multi-year grants.
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, social service, or similar degrees; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience building and enhancing workflow processes to support grants management and administration.
- Experience in reviewing and understanding grant budgets.
- Experience in using Salesforce or grants management technology.
- Knowledge of grants management strategies and best practices.
- Passionate about higher education, social impact and access and equity in education.
- Developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and support among a broad range of people and positions.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and diverse environment.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail, organization and deadline driving; ability to manage multiple projects on schedule and within budget.
- Flexibility and enjoyment working in a diverse, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with mission -focused teams and individuals.
- Expertise in negotiating contracts, pricing and budgets, along with setting and managing deadlines and customer expectations.
- Relationship building with the ability to lead meetings, educate, advise and guide business owners on best practices, creative solutions to challenges, policies, and procedures related to contracts, procurement and grants functions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Grants management or project management certificates.
- Knowledge of topics and issues facing the K-12 pipeline, college and career readiness, higher education, college access and completion, and education policy.
- Knowledge of grant compliance and regulation standards.
- A passion for higher education is a plus.
PAY RANGE
Salary range $75,000 - $79,740
