The GIS Technician/Specialist will support the GIS team by assisting with the collection, analysis, and management of geospatial data to contribute to various projects within the organization. This role involves collaborating with team members to maintain GIS databases, perform spatial analysis, and develop maps and visualizations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy and usability for decision-making processes.
Requirements
Experience Required:
· A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in GIS environments, including experience in data collection, mapping, and analysis.
· Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS software (ArcMap, ArcPro) and other GIS tools.
Skillsets Required:
· Strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial data management, and data visualization techniques.
· Experience with data entry, database management, and quality assurance for geospatial data.
· Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data management tasks.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
· Detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Knowledge of GPS technology and data collection methods is a plus.
