The ITAC General Industry EHS Manager will be a key player supporting the implementation and administration of a new and effective EHS program for our manufacturing and fabrication operations. The General Industry EHS Manager will fully support our commitment to EHS, exemplify our Core Values and will develop EHS assessments, policies, programs and training in close partnership with our line supervisors and Corp EHS Director. The ITAC General Industry EHS Manager will effectively communicate information, lead, coach and train all levels of employees in safety and health compliance, policies, and best practices. The General Industry EHS Manager will understand basic Industrial Hygiene requirements and OSHA 1910 safety and health standards and practices, including welding operations, painting and machine guarding and collaborate with operations to implement practical solutions. The General Industry EHS Manager will be a problem solver, self-initiating and report to the ITAC Corp EHS Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help create, improve, and comply with job specific SOPs and EHS policies.

• Be a team player and integrate into the operations group as an equal and valuable member mentor and leader.

• Determine an effective work schedule and conduct independently all required safety and health tasks.

• Perform detailed incident investigations and produce high-quality incident reports.

• Provide EHS related technical support and training concerning ITAC shop operations to managers and shop employees.

• Evaluate all manufacturing and fabrication practices, including emergency response procedures, for improvement in effectiveness and compliance as well identify any impending weaknesses or potential gaps.

• Know how to perform detailed equipment, location, and tool inspections and ensure inspection schedules are followed.

• Report any trends and serious reoccurring deficiencies as noted from leading indicators to the EHS Director.

• Communicate with other EHS Managers and Project Managers the conditions and concerns about their project.

• Develop training materials and effectively deliver training and instruction at a variety of meeting types.

• Strong computer aptitude, including fluency with MS Office; PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Requirements

Experience/Education

• OSHA 30 Hour General Industry.

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing EHS programs in industrial, process, manufacturing or similar organizations.

• Coursework or training in EHS subjects and/or college level courses.

• Bachelor's Degree in EHS or relevant field from an accredited institution preferred.

Certifications and Training Qualifications – Preferred / Desired

• OSHA 500 / 501 Certification – Outreach trainer

• OSHA level courses related to general industry and industrial hygiene subjects

• Forklift and Overhead Crane certifications

• Machine Guarding Courses

• Hazardous Materials handling and Storage credentials.

• Environmental and Industrial Waste Management

• Fire Prevention and Suppression related courses

• CSP – Certified Safety Professional
