Full Job Description
ARFA Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled GCP Engineer with expertise in Cloud OPS, Terraform, GKE, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to join our team. As a GCP Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions on GCP using Terraform, focusing on scalability, reliability, and automation.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine).
- Implement and support the principles of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure system reliability and availability.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain security measures, following best practices and compliance standards.
- Participate in incident response and troubleshooting efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP services, tools, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a GCP Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with containerization platforms like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, specifically GKE.
- Experience in implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
- Experience in managing CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Spinnaker.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver or Prometheus/Grafana.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Site Reliability Engineer) are a plus.
