Food Service Worker

As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in food service areas, and delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals
• Perform basic cooking tasks, such as grilling, frying, and baking
• Set up food service areas, including arranging displays and organizing utensils and condiments
• Serve food and beverages to customers, ensuring accuracy and quality
• Handle cash transactions following established procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food service areas
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
• Assist with stocking and restocking of food and supplies

Requirements

• Valid Virginia Food Handler Certificate
• Prior experience as a Food Service Worker or similar role in a restaurant, catering, or food service setting
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety principles
• Excellent customer service skills
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and carry heavy loads
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and cleanliness
