Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Financial Analyst to support the financial operations of a large-scale project for a global client. This role is critical for ensuring accurate tracking of project spending, budget alignment, and efficient financial processes. The ideal candidate will have 4–5 years of financial experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily project expenses and ensure alignment with the approved budget.
- Generate financial reports and variance analyses to explain deviations from the budget.
- Track hours for workers and ensure accurate invoicing of labor costs.
- Manage the issuance of purchase orders and track vendor invoices.
- Ensure all expenses are authorized by the Lead Project Manager before processing.
- Provide insights on budget performance, including whether the project is tracking ahead or behind the financial plan.
- Collaborate with the Lead PM to identify areas for cost optimization.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including receipts, logs, and documentation of all expenditures.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and financial protocols.
- Work closely with the Lead PM, project managers, and vendor representatives to address any financial concerns.
- Proactively communicate challenges or discrepancies to ensure resolution in a timely manner.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred but not required if experienced).
- 4–5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a project-based or construction environment.
- Proficiency in financial tracking tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software or project management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
