Job Description: ACT1 supports the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) in executing its mission to develop, test, produce, field, and sustain the F-35 Lightning II weapon system for the United States and many nations around the world. Successful employment of the F-35 is dependent upon the ability to develop, verify, and validate extensive mission data files. The ACURL, part of the F-35 Combat Data Systems (CDS) enterprise, provides this critical capability for F-35 partners Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. This position provides logistics expertise to enable the continued operation of the ACURL.

• Coordinates across CDS teams and other F-35 JPO Program Management Offices to align ACURL sustainment dependencies and requirements
• Supports cost, schedule and performance objectives, to include Systems Engineering Technical Review event participation for the ACURL, and conducts performance risk assessments
• Monitors Operation and Maintenance/Partners funding to ensure they are adequate to meets requirements and are in accordance with the Annual Cost Estimate Guidelines
• Executes a management strategy into design activities to mitigate Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages cost and readiness impacts throughout the life cycle of the contract
• Maintains configuration of hardware/software within the ACURL
• Manages the procurement and repair of ACURL spares and ensures the replenishment process is appropriately accomplished through the Global Spares Pool for the affected assets
• Ensures all software maintenance components are properly managed and support the phases of Technical Refresh upgrades
• Works with JPO contracting to develop request for proposals, evaluate proposals, and award contracts in support of ACURL operations
• Implements effective metrics to monitor prime contractor’s performance on the CDS Sustainment Contract

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Business
• Secret Clearance with eligibility for SAR
• Six years of experience supporting weapons systems development, acquisition, and/or logistics
• Familiarity with Cooperative Development or Foreign Military Sales programs processes
• Ability to conduct and evaluate feasibility studies and risk assessments
• Government contracting process and proposal evaluation experience
• Earned Value Management experience
• Strong oral and written communications skills with the ability draft clear, concise reports (often dealing with highly complex technical issues)
• Solid interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships with other program offices, US Government and DOD agencies, and senior US and foreign government officials at a variety of venues
• Well versed in the use of Microsoft Office applications
