Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Environmental Services Aide (PRN) to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to creating a positive living space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and public spaces
  • Conduct daily and periodic cleaning tasks, including:
  • Changing linens
  • Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms
  • Sweeping, mopping, and buffing floors
  • Dusting and sanitizing surfaces
  • Empty trashcans
  • Interact positively with residents during cleaning tasks
  • Report maintenance issues or resident concerns to management
  • Maintain high standards of infection control and sanitation
  • Manage cleaning supplies and equipment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Two to three years experience in a housekeeping role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting 
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the practices and procedures of environmental services required 
  • Ability to operate equipment common with environmental service; must be familiar with the use of detergents, germicides, strippers, and other cleaning/chemical supplies. Able to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions 
  • Leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and feedback to team members 
  • Ability to read, write, and follow direct written and oral instructions 
  • Basic computer and math skills for record-keeping and inventory management
  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, and provide clear instructions and feedback to team members 
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

Job type: PRN Day Shift

Pay range: is $13.50-$16.50 per hour based on experience
