Diving Maintenance Technician / 3M Maintenance Person

Contingent upon contract award.

Location: JEB Little Creek / Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Va.

First Division Consulting, Inc. (FirstDiv) is seeking a highly qualified Diving Maintenance Technician / 3M Maintenance Person to support diving materiel and hyperbaric chamber systems for EODGRU TWO and its subordinate commands. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a U.S. Navy First Class Diver, proficiency with maintenance systems, and strong skills in logistics and data management.

The qualified candidate shall perform the following task(s):

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAV Instruction 4790 and scheduled in 3M for open and closed-circuit diving systems (MK 16 and VIPER), including bottles, regulators, air compressors, Haskel oxygen charging booster pumps, diagnostic test equipment, buoyancy compensators, depth and pressure gauges, underwater communications equipment, full face diving masks, Diving Life Support System (DLSS) equipment, and NAVSEA Certified Life Support Systems.
• Schedule situational maintenance within the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) computer program and document completed maintenance.
• Conduct Low-Mu testing of materiel for EODGRU TWO and subordinate commands.
• Inventory and identify requirements for repair and maintenance supplies and parts.
• Maintain system certifications for NAVSEA certified systems, including DLSS Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor, oxygen clean system worker, and MK 16 and VIPER UBA maintenance technician.
• Assist with customer service, issue, and receipt of diving equipment.
• Conduct monthly, bi-annual, and annual inventories of gear managed in DPAS by EODGRU TWO.
• Perform duties as a Warehouseman in DPAS.
• Provide data entry and maintain configuration data and deferred maintenance in OMMS-NG, ensuring at least 98% data accuracy.
• Maintain and manage parts, supplies, and tools for DLSS, SCUBA, MK 16, and VIPER systems; conduct periodic inventories; prepare and submit requisition orders using standard Naval Supply System, Federal, and commercial supply chain processes.
• Handle hazardous materials in accordance with OSHA and Navy instructions.

Requirements

• Clearance: Secret Clearance Required.
• No less than six (6) years of experience as a U.S. Navy First Class Diver.
• No less than three (3) years of experience within Navy Expeditionary Combat Command.
• No less than one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Teams.
• No less than one (1) year of experience using OMMS-NG software.
• Prior qualification as MK16 underwater breathing apparatus diver and hyperbaric chamber operator.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Qualification as a Material Maintenance Management (3M) Maintenance Man.
• Factory-trained certification for diving equipment within inventory.
• Qualified in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series).

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.
