Full Job Description

Since 1957 Givens has provided customers a single source solution for warehouse, distribution, transportation, packing and crating and air freight services. We have been growing significantly over the last few years and continue to grow at a rapid pace.
We are currently seeking a Class A Mechanic to help maintain our fleet of tractors, trailers, forklifts and other equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair equipment to include heavy duty trucks, trailers, electric forklifts, and other equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance work on equipment
- Ability to complete paper work for routine maintenance and requesting parts
- Diagnose and repair ABS brake systems
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must pass drug screening
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship in automotive is preferred
- Associates degree is a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license
- State inspectors license a plus
- Minimum two years experience as a Class A Mechanic working on heavy duty trucks, trailers, forklifts, etc.
- Experience in software such as Davie 4, Service Ranger, ESA, Diagnostic 8, Cummins a plus
- Must be computer literate and have the ability to be trained on software systems
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to use shop tools to include hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
- Frequently lift and move up to 100lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands with no physical impairment that might restrict working around on top of or under equipment
- Be able to get along with other employees and have a can do attitude
