Position Summary

The Construction Services Administrator (CSA) will be responsible for supporting the Construction Draw Manager, Draw Management, and Funding of loans. In alignment with Momentus corporate strategy the incumbent will monitor construction loans in accordance with lending and underwriting guidelines. Additionally, the CSA will meet with borrowers and Loan Officers in order to approve funding requests.   

 This individual will report to the Construction Draw Manager, and collaborate with the Closing, Loan Servicing, Lending, Legal, Portfolio, and Treasury teams. 

Essential Responsibilities:

●      Work independently to, administer draws, and provide an excellent customer focused/centric experience for each borrower

●      Collaborate with members of the Closing and Construction Teams, Sr. Manager of Closing & Construction, outside vendors, borrowers, construction professionals, and loan officers to manage CIP’s construction loan closings and portfolio in accordance with lending policies and guidelines

●      Manage the risks associated with construction lending which requires thorough analysis, review and monitoring of each loan, active communication with lending staff, and legal documents analysis & negotiation

●      Able to review and understand construction contracts and general contractor applications for payment

●      Set-up all construction projects in a dedicated construction management/draw system, utilizing budgets for effective management of the project budget and sources of funds

●      Must be able to input required loan data and requirements in system to create/ensure effective risk management monitoring

●      Coordinate post-closing follow-up requirements such as: completing the Draw Reference Guide and Post Close Draw Overview Process meeting with borrowers and lenders

●      Administer and service a portfolio of active construction loans

●      Possess project management skills to include, strict timing requirements and deadlines, active and effective communication skills both written and verbal, managing third party vendors, draw request analysis/processing, budget analysis/oversight, and monitoring monthly principal & interest payments.

●      Relevant ad hoc items as business needs arise

Requirements

Professional Skills, Education and Experience

●      High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience in commercial construction lending, OR Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in construction management, construction documentation, construction loan closings and real estate administration

●      Knowledge of the Construction Finance industry preferred

●      Strong interest in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

●      Strong operational execution skills (planning, project management, problem solving, etc.)

●      Strong written and oral communication skills (e.g., presentations, conference call, virtual meetings, periodic reports)

●      Proficient in MS programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google suite (e.g., Google Docs, Sheets)

●      Strong budgeting and financial acumen preferred

●      Demonstrated ability to translate construction and legal requirements

●      Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, detail-oriented and judgment skills

●      Candidates must have sufficient knowledge of loan-legal documentation

●      Ability to travel 10% or less required

●      Must be able to navigate construction sites on rare occasions

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $57,401 - $75,000 and is eligible for an annual incentive.

This role is eligible to work remotely.
