Department: Artemis House Region 1 

Reports to:  Assistant Director of Operations  

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

About the Role: 

 

The Resource Coordinator provides essential 24-hour awake coverage and supervision of Artemis House’s 28-bed shelter. The Resource Coordinator is the lead person on shift acting as the first point of contact for client needs, community inquiries, and program support.  This position is responsible for crisis intervention, facilities management, meeting client needs, assisting clients to transition into and out of shelter, and promoting a safe shelter environment.  

 

How you will contribute: 

  

  • Ensure the safe functioning of the shelter and maintain a safe environment for clients during assigned shift  
  • Answer all hotline calls using Lethality Assessment Protocol and Risk Assessments to determine imminent danger and inquiries while maintaining confidentiality at all times  
  • Collaborate with staff at other Artemis House locations when determining incoming clients  
  • Conduct comprehensive intakes for clients entering shelter, assist with immediate safety planning and meeting basic needs upon shelter entry  
  • Evaluate and provide for the needs of shelter residents while on shift, to include distributing household items and assisting in resource identification, safety planning, and transportation planning  
  • Document all interactions with clients and services provided in the daily shift log to ensure consistent communication   
  • Work closely with case managers to support and reinforce the client’s service plan and maintain ongoing communication regarding client needs  
  • Complete shift exchange with incoming / outgoing staff and report on the day’s activities in order to ensure seamless service provision across shifts  
  • Maintain the dignity and confidentiality of all clients and implement a trauma-informed, client-driven approach in all facets of daily work  
  • Maintain current knowledge and ability to administer emergency procedures to include building evacuation, health emergencies and safety management  
  • Complete incident reports to completely and accurately document client interactions and safety incidents  
  • Assist with room turnover, client moves, and preparation for clients entering and exiting the program.  
  • Serve as part of the Artemis House Region 1 team by collaborating to provide comprehensive and supportive services to shelter residents  
  • Participate in staff meetings and staff trainings as directed by supervisor  
  • Proficiently utilize google suites applications (email, calendar, drive, docs, etc) as a part of day-to-day work requirements  
  • Ensure compliance with all agency policies and best practices  
  • Proficiently operate a personal computer, fax, printer, copier and Microsoft Office products (email, calendar, drive, etc.).

  • Perform other duties deemed necessary to support the program and agency  

Requirements

About You: 

 

Required: 

  • A high school diploma or GED 
  • 2+ years of experience in human services field i.e., mental health, substance abuse and domestic violence 
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and team members 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed 

 

Preferred: 

  • A bachelor’s in human services/ related field 
  • 1 year of experience in customer service 
  • Experience working in programs serving victims of domestic violence 
  • Experience working in a residential environment 
  • Current CPR/ First aid certification 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Annual TB Test is required 
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods 
  • Ability to lift items weighing 10-20 pounds
