Responsibilities
As an Acquisition Analyst III, you will be entrusted with higher-level responsibilities that influence the overall acquisition lifecycle. Your expertise will be pivotal in supporting the Project Manager Soldier Survivability, ensuring that our soldiers have the best tools at their disposal. Key responsibilities include:
- Leads comprehensive acquisition management efforts across complex product lines, ensuring effective integration and execution.
- Oversees product taskings and ensures compliance with acquisition processes throughout all lifecycle phases.
- Manages and coordinates the preparation, review, and approval of Milestone documentation while ensuring compliance with DoD regulations.
- Develops and implements contracting strategies that optimize procurement processes, aligning with Army acquisition policies.
- Facilitates participation in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and key programs, guiding teams towards successful outcomes.
- Implements contract oversight procedures for assigned products, ensuring compliance with requirements and delivery timelines.
- Develops, reviews, and manages program budgets and schedules, providing insight into financial and timeline impacts on projects.
- Prepares and submits Supply Request Packages to the Defense Logistics Agency and manages transitions from Project Management to Sustainment.
- Contributes to developing Acquisition Strategies and Plans, ensuring alignment with operational goals and frameworks.
- Conducts thorough financial reporting and tracking of program logistics activities to enhance operational efficiency.
- Performs risk assessment and mitigation planning by evaluating cost, schedule, and performance challenges.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Specialized Expertise: Acquisition career specialization aligned with program management, contracting, or logistics.
- Certifications: DAWIA Level II certification in an acquisition career field or PMP Certification (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of product life cycle management, acquisition and contracting processes, cost analysis, and tools like WAWF, iRAPT, and GFEBS. Familiarity with DODI 5000.02, JCIDS, and the Defense Acquisition System is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in team and project management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder collaboration
