Staff Pharmacist

Thomas Talent Network, LLC is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for compounding and dispensing prescribed medications in a healthcare facility environment. You will also be involved in patient profile review for clinical and fiscal control of medication dispensing, and ensure the safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities:

• Compound and dispense prescribed drugs
• Transfer prescriptions and handle incoming physician calls
• Log data into the computer and perform Drug Utilization Review
• Provide order screening and entry
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians
• Communicate with nursing and physician care providers
• Ensure service values are reflected in all aspects of department operation
• Plan and accomplish goals with creativity and latitude
• Reviews and interprets physician orders to evaluate drug incompatibilities, allergies, appropriateness of therapy, including drug selection, dosage, and frequency of administration. 
• Confers with the physicians and allied health personnel as necessary to resolve all questions and irregularities regarding physician orders. 

Requirements

Requirements:

1. Bachelor or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from accredited school of Pharmacy
2. One year of Pharmacy experience
3. Hospital pharmacy experience
4. Computer and data entry skills
5. 2 years of pharmacy experience
