Rikert Ski Areas Operations Associate (Winter '23-'24)

Provides all aspects of functions to support mountain operations at the Middlebury College Rikert Ski Areas at all times providing friendly and profession customer assistance. This is a seasonal position and is generally a full-time, non-benefits-eligible position. Day and evening shifts available, and managers will do their best to accommodate individual's schedule preferences and needs. The hiring range for this position is $16.80 - $17.85 depending on prior years of service.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain rental equipment and perform ski repair and maintenance for customers
• Open, close, and staff ski shop and Lodge providing friendly and professional customer assistance.
• Responsible for accurate transactions with customer using cash register.
• Provide race and event support.
• Performs trail maintenance, snow making operations, snow shoveling in designated areas, firewood collection, parking lot attendant duties, garbage collection, and transportation as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with search and rescue within ski area boundaries.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

Education & Training:
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience:
2-4 years related experience including ski instruction preferred.

Knowledge:

• Basic computer skills beneficial.
• Basic First Aid is beneficial.
