Respiratory Therapist - Bonus Available

Duties

- Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory conditions
- Develop and implement respiratory care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform diagnostic tests to assess lung function
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients requiring mechanical ventilation
- Provide airway management and perform intubations when necessary
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management

Experience

- Minimum of one year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or clinical setting
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desired
- Knowledge of critical care procedures and protocols
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to the respiratory system

Shift

• 12-hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift

Requirements

• State of Vermont Respiratory Therapy Licensure
• Associate degree from AMA approved program for Respiratory Care
• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligibility to take the NBRC written examination within one year of hire
• Seasoned Therapists must already have RRT status.
• Current ACLS, BLS & PALS
