Ursa Major is looking for a part-time Project Manager to support our cross-functional teams in a special project. Starting at 20 hours a week, this person will help manage dynamic timelines, streamline processes and must love problem-solving!
This role will work closely with our product development, packaging, creative, operations, and marketing teams. To thrive in this role, you should have a thorough understanding of product development, packaging development, creative packaging testing, and manufacturing of cosmetics. The right person will have a mix of outstanding organizational and communication skills. You can untangle timelines in your sleep, turn ideas into action items, and manage people & resources to get any project across the finish line.
*This role is considered remote. We are headquartered in VT, with team members all over.
What You’ll Do:
- Be the connector and coordinator across multiple teams and functions of our business
- Create, manage and track product timelines, working heavily in our project management software (we use Airtable and Wrike). Some tasks may include:
- Oversee product testing timelines, hitting milestones and deliverables
- Oversee creative packaging testing timelines, hitting milestones and deliverables
- Oversee packaging production, from receipt to final delivery
- Delivery of final artwork files to suppliers
- Oversee sample process for photography
- Manage timelines for final creative delivery of assets internally and to external partners
- Manage both internal and external consultant teams to stay ahead of timelines and due dates
- Audit, organize and create efficient processes
- Own weekly cross-functional meetings (agenda and action items)
- Update key stakeholders on breaking project news, keep the larger team regularly informed of the overall project status.
Requirements
- 4-6+ years of experience in a project management role, in beauty/skincare context.
- You’ve developed seamless systems for other product teams, ideally at another DTC beauty/skincare company.
- You’re an expert in project management software.
- You have an in-depth working knowledge of Product Development, Packaging Development, Creative, and Manufacturing functions.
- You’re a true organizational wizard who takes initiative at every level—you can put together a high-level calendar, and also track the nitty-gritty execution of each asset.
- You’re a super confident communicator—you’re not afraid to speak up, take charge, and hold team members accountable to timelines.
