Your Impact
Iroquois Manufacturing Company is seeking a bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including, sales, receipts, payments and payroll. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be a team player and have a can-do approach. The bookkeeper will report directly to the Business Manager and will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information. This position is onsite in Hinesburg, Vermont with working hours of 8:00-4:30.
Your Role
- Process all Accounts Receivable
- Reconcile daily invoice registers
- Daily credit card revenue: book and tie to income received to bank on daily basis.
- Reconcile bank statement monthly
- Post journal entries for month end close
- Payroll processing weekly with outside payroll company (Asure Software). Post journal entries weekly.
- Maintain various excel spreadsheets
- Accounts Payable knowledge
- Answer Phones as needed
Required Experience
- Associate’s degree or higher in accounting is desirable, previous work experience considered
- Prior experience working in payroll highly preferred
- High attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of business ethics and communication methods to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines
