Virtualization Engineer - Secret clearance

We are seeking a skilled Virtualization and Cloud Engineer to support and optimize virtual infrastructure and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (vCF) and VMware vRealize Suite, with a strong focus on vRealize Operations (vROps) and vRealize Automation (vRA). Familiarity with AWS cloud services is also essential. This role is 100% onsite in Ogden, UT and you must possess and active Secret clearance, or higher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage VMware-based virtualized environments, including vCF and the vRealize Suite.
• Leverage vROps and vRA to enhance operational efficiency, monitoring, and automation.
• Integrate and optimize AWS cloud solutions to support hybrid cloud environments.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and regular maintenance to ensure system reliability and security.
• Implement and maintain security protocols in line with organizational policies and industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex virtualization and cloud infrastructure issues and provide timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of virtualization and cloud solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance or higher.
• Security+ certification (required).
• Experience with vCF and VMware vRealize Suite (vROps and vRA).
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred (must obtain certification within 90 days of employment).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures.
• Experience in scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Knowledge of additional security certifications or practices.
