Full Job Description
Expertise and Functions
- Perform technical analysis related to systems design and development
- Conduct tasks associated with systems engineering life cycle and the DoD design review process
- Utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques
- Support systems analysis (e.g., discrete event simulation) with simulation techniques
- Follow, perform, and record the results of the execution of a test plan
- Exercise judgment to make recommendations on technical alternatives, component design or selection, and/or adaptation to meet assigned requirements
- Collaborate with leadership at all levels
- Lead technical reviews and meetings, internal and external
- Perform duties under supervision of staff and chief engineers
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited institution in relevant engineering or science discipline required
- Master's Degree preferred
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area
- Familiarity with a range of systems engineering tools - Cameo experience preferred
- Background in developing and/or testing aircraft and/or military components preferred
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
