Full Job Description
A partner is seeking a Senior Planner to join their team in Park City, Utah. The position involves contributing to high-level current and long-range planning projects under the guidance of the Planning Director.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in current and long-range planning projects.
- Preserve over 400 historic sites.
- Contribute to the redevelopment of City land into mixed-use areas.
- Assist in establishing new recreation areas.
- Support the development of affordable housing.
- Mentor and oversee junior planners and planning technicians.
- Utilize expertise in permitting, land use planning, and public planning.
- Implement relevant policies, procedures, and state-specific codes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant planning experience.
- Strong understanding of land use planning principles and practices.
- Proficiency in permitting processes and public planning.
- Familiarity with state-specific codes and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexible and unbiased approach to leadership.
- Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management abilities.
