Senior Planner

A partner is seeking a Senior Planner to join their team in Park City, Utah. The position involves contributing to high-level current and long-range planning projects under the guidance of the Planning Director.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in current and long-range planning projects.
• Preserve over 400 historic sites.
• Contribute to the redevelopment of City land into mixed-use areas.
• Assist in establishing new recreation areas.
• Support the development of affordable housing.
• Mentor and oversee junior planners and planning technicians.
• Utilize expertise in permitting, land use planning, and public planning.
• Implement relevant policies, procedures, and state-specific codes.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of relevant planning experience.
• Strong understanding of land use planning principles and practices.
• Proficiency in permitting processes and public planning.
• Familiarity with state-specific codes and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexible and unbiased approach to leadership.
• Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management abilities.
