Great Basin Industrial, a construction company with offices in Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado is seeking a highly skilled Pipe Welder to join its fast-growing team. Responsibilities
- Lay-out, fabricate and weld piping systems on job sites, in accordance with project designs and specifications.
- Specialize in welding pipe joints and welding by fabrication, repair, and installation of boilers, pressure vessels, piping, and other components as directed.
- Be proficient in the use of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Prepare parts for welding, positioning, and clamping them together to secure in place, and join them using various welding techniques.
- Perform welding repairs on piping and other metal components.
- Maintain good housekeeping and maintenance, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a pipe welding role.
- Excellent understanding of welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick.
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans and blueprints.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision.
- Knowledge of safety standards and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to work efficiently and effectively with team members and job site supervisors.
