We provide low barrier emergency shelters, supportive services, and housing-first minded rental assistance that helps individuals and families step out of homelessness and back into the community. Job Summary
The Property Maintenance and Repair Technician provides basic general maintenance and repair functions for our Permanent Supportive Housing programs under the supervision and guidance of experienced maintenance personnel. In addition, the Property Maintenance and Repair Technician will assist in property operations, including inventory control and accountability of tools and equipment.

Property Maintenance
- Perform maintenance, repair, and minor construction for Supportive Housing properties. Work includes, but is not limited to:
- Electrical,
- Mechanical
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Masonry
- Landscaping
- Painting, and general custodial duties such as trashing out units and cleaning.
- Assist team in developing an effective property-specific preventive maintenance program and perform preventive maintenance on property equipment, e.g., routine physical inspections, air filter cleaning and replacement, lubrication, system monitoring, component repair and replacement and general property maintenance and upkeep as required
- Comply with public health, safety and fire regulations. Assist in maintaining properties in an orderly, neat and clean manner.
- Abide by and implement property security measures. Move and place furniture, appliances and other items within the properties as required.
- Perform transportation, delivery, moving, pick up, loading/unloading and installation of household items, appliances and other items. Drive, as necessary, any Agency vehicle.
- Safely operate truck, passenger vans other Agency vehicles and equipment as required. Perform routine preventive maintenance and repair. Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good working condition
- Abide by and implement property security measures
- Move and place furniture, appliances and other items within the properties as required.

- Willingness to understand that housing first, harm reduction, low barrier access to resources is best practice and essential to our mission at The Road Home.
- Ability to set and maintain good boundaries, using Trauma-Informed Care as a guideline

Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma/GED required
Minimum two years of the following preferred:
- HVAC
- Carpentry and/or construction
- Mechanical and plumbing
- Electrical
- Automotive and general light equipment repair preferred
Physical and Equipment Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
- Must be able to operate agency vehicles
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the outlined duties and responsibilities
