Full Job Description
Amare Global is seeking a skilled and professional General Counsel to join our legal team and play a key role in shaping the legal strategy and compliance framework of Amare. This person will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, assist with legal, regulatory, and compliance issues and mitigation of legal risks associated with a direct sales operations. The successful candidate will be able to navigate legal compliance and limit risk exposure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support the business objectives
- Provide timely and strategic legal advice to executive leadership and various business units
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting direct sales, ensuring the company’s compliance with local, national, and international laws.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including distributor agreements, vendor contract and other business-related documents
- Manage and oversee any legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, or regulatory actions
- Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary, and represent the company’s interest effectively
- Collaborate with the company on protecting the company’s intellectual property rights
- Assist with the development and implementation of company policies that align with legal requirements and industry best practices
- Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically
- Identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks
- Base your decision-making process on ethics and integrity
- Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders
- Deal with external parties (regulators, external counsel, politicians, clients)
- Meet legal objectives
- Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas
Requirements
- Five years or more of proven general counseling experience in business environment.
- Overall broad legal knowledge (corporate law, litigations, labor law, etc)
- In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organizations
- Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives
- Well-versed in how business operate with financial acumen
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
- Excellent judgement and analytical skills
- First class interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to “see around the corner”
- J.D. degree
