Position Overview: 

The Construction Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for managing all aspects of construction & staff for assigned ICAST retrofit projects to ensure successful completion on time, on budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction. The CPM will oversee and support the Utah construction team including but not limited to purchase agent, field supervisor/inspector, and construction coordinator. The CPM will also collaborate with other ICAST departments as needed to ensure ICAST is meeting its contractual obligations to the customer. Additionally, the CPM will help to manage relationships and agreements with sub-contractors as well as manage material inventories and provide detailed status reports regularly to ICAST’s leadership.  

Requirements

Must Have Qualifications:  

  • 5 years’ plus experience as a Construction Project Manager with a General Contracting or Design-Build (D/B) firm 
  • Expertise with project management software, preferably Smartsheet 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field 
  • Possess a general understanding of Government & Utility energy efficiency programs
  • Proficient with M365 Suite of Services (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, etc.) 
  • Ability to manage and bring to completion multiple projects simultaneously across different locations   
  • Possess a general understanding of government & utility energy efficiency programs. 

Location: Salt Lake City metro area 

Reports to: Director of Construction Management 

Skill Level: Intermediate 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field

Compensation: $85k/yr DOE

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Providing support, administratively or otherwise to the Director of Construction Management as requested and required.  
  • Managing a team of field staff including field supervisor(s), purchasing agent(s), and construction coordinator to efficiently coordinator and complete assigned projects. 
  • Perform employee reviews for supervised staff i.e., Field Supervisors, Coordinators, and other assigned personnel. 
  • Maintaining regular communications with clients and contractors to address concerns and provide status updates. 
  • Traveling to jobsites to ensure project progression and quality are meeting contractual obligations.  
  • Providing direct assistance to assigned staff for in-depth coordination, planning, scheduling, subcontracting, and scope clarifications.  
  • Assisting in the development and fostering of a local and reliable subcontractor base. 
  • Mentoring and guiding site supervisors/inspectors to ensure ICAST’s needs are met while also establishing a pathway for career development within the department & organization. 
  • Providing regular status reports to ICAST Management including details of progress and budget.  
  • High Level Coordination with other ICAST Departments to ensure that program and grant requirements are being met   
  • Coordinate with Marketing & Sales to ensure Customers are receiving excellent service and to provide requested information. 

Initial Goals:

  • Be able to manage the assigned program within 30 days of start.
