Full Job Description
UWorld seeks a Web Editor to publish and produce creative content. Working with an in-house team of marketers, subject matter experts, and content specialists, the Web Editor will publish webpages, videos, graphics, and other content primarily on UWorld’s website and other relevant channels as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Publish online content in creative, error-free ways
- Take direction from in-house team members on content to post
- Work collaboratively and consultatively on online publishing best practices
- Ensure SEO best practices are followed when posting
- Ensure content stays up to date
- Monitor website analytics and identify areas of improvement and make recommendations for changes
- Perform quality assurance checks on web pages prior to publishing
- Comply with copyright and privacy regulations
- Stay abreast of industry trends; actively employ new practices and report on them to the broader marketing team
- Ensure brand consistency
Requirements
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business, or relevant field.
Minimum Experience
- 3 years’ web editing and publishing experience
- 2 years’ experience specifically with WordPress
- Portfolio of previous work
Required Skills
- Proven work experience as a web editor Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Superior writing skills in English
- Familiarity with SEO best practices
- Experience using professional design or editing software a plus
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as HTML/CSS and Java script
- Deep experience with publishing content on WordPress
- Demonstrable editing skills with a portfolio of published work
