Job Title: Vice President of Quality and Food Safety


Elevate our food safety and quality to unparalleled heights as our Vice President of Quality and Food Safety. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead global initiatives, infusing excellence into every product we offer. Collaborate with key departments such as manufacturing, sales, R&D, and Purchasing to cultivate a top-tier food safety culture and a relentless pursuit of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chart the course for our food safety and quality assurance strategies, ensuring their flawless execution and monitoring their effectiveness with precision.
  • Forge strong alliances with manufacturing leaders to synchronize food safety and quality assurance strategies, catalyzing necessary changes with immediacy.
  • Architect and roll out industry-leading food safety and quality assurance practices across our manufacturing landscape.
  • Act as the go-to expert on food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, ensuring all products adhere to the highest standards and regulatory demands.
  • Lead, mentor, and elevate our FSQA teams, including Corporate, Regional Managers, and Plant Managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Strengthen key customer QA relationships alongside sales teams, bolstering client trust and satisfaction.
  • Champion talent development within the food safety and quality assurance realms, guaranteeing a bench of exceptional leaders.
  • Engage with all organizational tiers, advocating for pivotal food safety and quality enhancements.
  • Guarantee our microbiological and analytical services uphold the zenith of standards and practices.
  • Act as the food safety and quality ambassador, enhancing internal and external perceptions and performances.



  • BS degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, Engineering (Masters preferred).
  • SQF Practitioner Certification and a valid driver’s license are mandatory.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 15 years of ascending experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Profound knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, PCQI, alongside FDA, and ideally USDA and CFIA regulations.
  • A solid track record in leading with a lean mindset, showcasing exemplary leadership, decision-making, and change management capabilities.
  • Mastery in operating at both strategic and operational levels, coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a preference for candidates experienced in SAP QM or similar ERP systems.

Leadership and Working Conditions:

  • This role oversees a team of seasoned FSQA professionals and requires up to 50% travel.
  • Expect a blend of standard office settings and firsthand experiences in manufacturing environments, which vary in temperature.
