Are you an outgoing college student with a knack for social trends and a passion for event coordination? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and love creating unique social content? If you enjoy attending and planning events while leveraging your extensive school network, we want to hear from you!

Victory Lap is the go-to spot for tailgating, bar tabs, and unforgettable nights in West Campus at UT Austin. With plans to expand across the country, we're looking for a Social Media & Influencer Marketing Intern who can capture the energy of our sports bar and help build the Victory Lap brand into a nationwide sensation.

This person will help us implement our social strategy and manage our Instagram account while also taking an active role in helping create and execute creative event programming and brand ambassador program.

In this internship, you'll gain valuable experience in social media and influencer marketing, working on branding projects, creating content calendars, and managing multiple accounts, all while being hands-on at events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Social Media Coordinator in content creation, scheduling, and engagement for Victory Lap's social media accounts.
  • Develop and maintain monthly content calendars to ensure a consistent posting schedule.
  • Publish unique content and actively engage with followers to drive brand awareness and community engagement.
  • Capture and edit photos and videos at events to enhance Victory Lap’s social media presence.
  • Help implement strategies to grow our following, boost engagement, and convert followers into customers.
  • Create and distribute audience-specific content, including photos, graphics, and videos tailored to various demographics.
  • Track and report on social media engagement and follower growth metrics.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and emerging content formats to keep our strategy fresh.
  • Attend and help coordinate events, leveraging your school network to enhance participation and brand visibility.
  • Build relationships and coordinate communication with Brand Ambassadors, influencers and NIL partners 
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours or during evenings may be required.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Current college student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Photography, Journalism or related fields of study
  • Skilled iPhone photographer and video editor; Experience with CapCut or other video editing apps
  • Experience with Canva; graphic design skills a plus
  • Strong grasp of major social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok
  • Fluent in the English language, its rules and proper usage

Skills

  • Energetic self-starter who can work well in a small team and independently
  • Web savvy, skilled internet researcher
  • Excellent organizational/time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Prioritizes work and asks for direction when overwhelmed or uncertain

Bonus Points if…

  • Proficient with Later, Planoly or other social media scheduling tools
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator 
  • Experience running social media for a nonprofit or business preferable but not required

Benefits

This paid internship will run from October 2024 to December 2024 with the possibility to continue into the spring. The internship will be approximately 15-20 hours per week. Pay is $15 per hour.
