Service First Mortgage is currently hiring for an Underwriter II.
The Underwriter II will underwrite files according to Service First and Agency guidelines, underwrite files in their work queue utilizing a first in/first out methodology, and clear underwriting conditions on underwritten files.
- Issue mortgage insurance for files requiring MI
- Update the Automated Underwriting System for all loans
- Update and track all information in LQB as required
- Respond to all audit response requests as needed
- Fulfill training requirements as defined by management
- Participate in training sessions as required
- Respond to incoming phone calls/emails from Loan Officers and Loan Processors regarding loan files
- Review Underwriting Scenario/Underwriting Opinions as assigned
- Assist Loan Officers and Loan Processors with program guidelines
- Any additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage underwriting experience
- Must have HUD DE designation and at least one of the following: VA, SAR, USDA certifications
