Top Drive Technician

VTech manufacturing is looking for full time experienced, motivated technicians with top drive and mud pump experience. Primary responsibility will be to repair and rebuild top drives and some mud pump work in our shop facility, with the occasional fieldwork requirement.

This full-time position is open immediately and compensation will be based on experience.

We are an oilfield parts and repair facility based in Houston, Texas established in 1997. Originally supporting mud pump parts and service, we added top drive support in 2019. The increase in growth has made it necessary to increase our work force.

Requirements

Candidates must have hydraulic top drive experience as the primary ability.

A full understanding of top drive systems including rig ups, troubleshooting, driller training and the ability to read and understand both hydraulic and electrical schematics. Machining knowledge and abilities a plus.
