Job Overview
DMV IT Service is seeking the services of a Systems Analyst 3 to join our team. The selected candidate will meet the general qualifications of Systems Analyst 3, Applications/Software Development, and the specifications outlined for DMV IT Service.
In this role, the Systems Analyst 3 will:
- Understand business objectives and challenges, identify alternative solutions, and perform cost/benefit analysis of those alternatives.
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processes or improve existing computer systems.
- Collaborate with personnel from various organizational units to analyze current operational procedures, identify issues, and define specific input/output requirements, such as data input forms, summary data, and report formats.
- Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and the steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
- Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine feasibility for requested programs or program changes within existing systems.
Requirements
8 years of experience with high-level knowledge and experience of network facilities, data processing techniques, computer hardware and software, network operating systems, security software, performance monitoring, and capacity management tools.
8 years of extensive knowledge and experience using LDAP/Windows Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and Hypervisor Experience with Hyper-V and VMware.
8 years of experience administering Windows Systems (Group Policy, Kerberos, NTLM, TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP, PXE), Linux, Network Administration, IT Governance, and Security/Privacy policies and tools.
8 years of experience supporting technologies such as Ansible, SFTP/FTPS, Kubernetes, and open-source software, with the ability to direct and organize work activities.
8 years of experience identifying problems/issues, analyzing and evaluating alternatives, and recommending/implementing effective solutions.
8 years of experience supporting Windows and Linux systems with cloud service providers such as AWS and Azure.
8 years of experience providing server and application support on a 24x7 on-call basis and on a rotating schedule.
8 years of experience with server hardware equipment replacement/upgrades.
8 years of experience using ITIL methodologies for ticketing with tools such as Remedy and ServiceNow.
6 years of experience preparing concise written reports appropriate to the audience and communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
6 years of experience planning and coordinating server maintenance activities with Data Center Contractors and CSPs services, including security patching and other activities related to the TIERS Security Program.
6 years of experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise, including installing and implementing SQL Server clustered environments.
6 years of experience managing Web Application Firewall systems (Imperva and/or AWS WAF).
