Smart Distribution is a leading distribution company that specializes in managing and optimizing supply chains for businesses across various industries. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join our team.
As a Supply Chain Assistant at Smart Distribution, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our supply chain. This includes coordinating the movement of goods, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery to our customers. You will work closely with our supply chain team to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing inventory levels and conducting regular audits
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Process purchase orders and track shipments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of supply chain activities
- Support the planning and scheduling of transportation
- Assist in analyzing supply chain performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any supply chain issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in a supply chain or logistics role is a plus
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices
- Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
