Description:
Burnham Wood Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated and reliable Substitute Teacher to join our team. As a substitute teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' learning experience in the absence of their regular teachers. Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans and ensure adherence to curriculum objectives
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
- Provide instruction and support to students across a variety of subjects and grade levels
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive student engagement
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain continuity in the learning process
- Follow classroom routines and procedures as established by the absent teacher
- Assess student performance and provide feedback to regular classroom teachers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced educational environment
- Strong classroom management skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work on short notice
- Passion for education and a commitment to student success
