Studio Apprentice/Shampoo Asst (Dallas, Plano & Arlington Hiring)

Responsibilities

• Take care of all types of textured hair care by performing the shampoo, condition, and other pre-blowout services

• Maintain salon cleanliness - sweeping, inventory, cleaning brushes, washing and folding towels, etc

• Ensure comfortability of clients while at the shampoo bowl

• Sell add-on services, retail products, and our VIP memberships

• Provide a luxury, customer experience through client interactions - we also serve mimosas and other beverages!

Requirements

Qualifications

• A current or recent cosmetology student looking to learn about the beauty and care of textured hair
• Phase 5 of cosmetology school

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• A strong work ethic with a “go-getter” attitude

Essential Functions

• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 9 hours).
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions, such as shampooing and assisting with styling.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to reach overhead to perform styling & cleaning tasks.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel to access styling tools, assist customers, and/or maintain Studio cleanliness.
