For this reason, we’re seeking a dynamic Social Media Manager to further our Yellowbird brand voice across key social channels. As a crucial team member in our brand department, you will be entrusted with amplifying the Yellowbird voice, ensuring our messaging resonates with both current and potential customers.
Your role will encompass a blend of strategic, creative planning with hands-on execution. You'll dive deep into understanding our customers, collaborating cross-departmentally, and driving impactful and measurable brand relationships. Every campaign, strategy, and effort you lead will be rooted in effectiveness, scalability, and tangible growth and love for the Yellowbird brand.

Teamwork is at the heart of everything we do. As our Social Media Manager, you'll be a pivotal team player, working closely with various internal departments and ensuring that our marketing efforts are cohesive, consistent, and always aligned with the Yellowbird ethos.
Here are the things we want to hire you to do:
- Strategic Development: Work with the brand marketing team to develop social media marketing campaigns to craft and implement effective marketing strategies that align with Yellowbird's brand ethos and objectives.
- Strategic Social Media Planning: Analyze performance metrics to identify trends and adjust content strategy accordingly, ensuring optimal engagement and growth. Research social media trends and inform management of changes that are relevant to Yellowbird’s marketing activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in-person with our team 4-5 days a week to foster a clear understanding of cross-departmental workflows, ensuring social media marketing efforts are cohesive and aligned with all departments.
- Community Engagement: Interact with customers and other stakeholders via Yellowbird’s social media accounts, actively participating in online conversations, addressing questions, comments, and feedback in a timely and brand-consistent manner.
- Influencer Partnerships: Manage influencer and creator collaborations, from briefing and contracting to ongoing communication, ensuring alignment with brand voice and campaign objectives.
- Content Creation: Ability to craft compelling content including written posts, stories, images, and videos that align with the Yellowbird brand voice and engage our community using social media marketing tools to create and maintain the Yellowbird brand.
- Channel Management: Conduct quarterly evaluations of brand health, ensuring consistency in messaging, imagery, and content across all social platforms analyzing Yellowbird’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy, identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements.
- Performance Analysis: Define KPI’s for social media campaigns, utilize tools and analytics to report on social media performance, offering insights and recommendations for ongoing strategy improvements.
Requirements

- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strategic Thinking & Execution: Ability to develop and execute on social media photo and video content that’s sustainable and on-brand, effectively utilizing current assets and creating new assets based on past trends.
- Copywriting & Content Creation: Excellent copywriting skills with a thorough understanding of tasteful design. Actual design, photography, and videography skills are a significant advantage.
- Channel Strategy & Implementation: Comprehensive knowledge of social media channels and strategy, the ability to craft a custom strategy for Yellowbird, and ensure its successful execution.
- Project Management: Ability to focus on deep work, manage multiple team projects across various timelines, and ensure timely delivery.
- Branding in CPG Food Space: Thorough understanding of brand storytelling and community building in the CPG food space, especially hot sauce and flavor-added foods.
- Team Collaboration & Positive Attitude: A proactive team player with a positive, problem-solving mindset. Initiative to understand the internal team environment and work collaboratively.
- Digital Proficiency: Comfort and familiarity with modern digital tools and platforms, including social media optimization, and other digital marketing tools.
- Data & Analytics: An understanding of customer segmentation and personalized marketing, and the ability to analyze data, optimize campaigns, and derive actionable insights.
- Continuous Learning: A proactive approach to staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing, ensuring Yellowbird remains at the forefront of innovative marketing practices.
- Presentation Building: Hands-on design skills to create and implement on-brand presentations and materials for reporting on brand health and social listening across select channels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar marketing role—portfolio of work and experience in the CPG food industry is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools/platforms and the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an ability to craft engaging content tailored to various social platforms.
- Any additional certifications in digital marketing, content strategy, or related areas is beneficial.
- Experience managing relationships on behalf of an organization.
- A genuine passion for community engagement and a knack for sparking online conversations.
