Shipping and Receiving Specialist (Forklift)

Steri-Tek is dedicated to providing a high-quality sterilization service and superior customer service to the industries that it serves.

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist (Forklift) receives customer product(s) into our system, checks for any discrepancies with the shipment. Then after the product has been processed, ship it back to the appropriate shipping location. Also answer any customer questions related to where the product is in the process and when they can expect to receive it.

SHIPPING/RECEIVING PRE-PROCESSING

• Ship all irradiated product in an efficient and accurate manner, as described in required SOP’s.
• Place product in the appropriate “Staged for Shipment” area and contact carrier for pick up.
• Complete Repacks.
• Verify Cold Storage and Dry Ice requirements.
• Be familiar with shipping/courier service processes.
• Complete all remaining inspections and receiving paperwork.
• Move product to pre-processing area.
• Check Job folders for accuracy prior to processing.
• Complete Repacks.
• Store in cold storage DEA cages as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Once all primary tasks are complete, assist other employees and departments as needed.
• Complete compliance training/continuing education requirements by the noted deadlines.
• Complete and ensure proper execution of appropriate Steri-Tek Standard Operating Procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in English language (written and spoken).
• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift certified.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Medical Device industry experience – 1-2 years
