Bakery Agency is seeking a motivated and energetic person to help elevate our agency's business operations, accounting, finance and forecasting capabilities. Primary responsibilities will include using your accounting and finance skills to lead our cash flow management, the publication of our P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Forecast. In support of these tasks, you will work closely with the CFO/COO to lead the day to day operation of our cash flow, accounts receivables, accounts payable, treasury, corporate matters, and financial project management. You will be the master of our accounting tools to ensure the accuracy of data, reconciliations, archives and timeliness of KPI’s and dashboards. You will advocate for efficiencies, improved processes, controls and help elevate the effectiveness of the CFO/COO. You will be a key support person to lead the Accounting, Finance, HR, Legal, IT and Operations functions of the agency.

Responsibilities:
- Accounting: lead and manage the cash flow function of Bakery through effective management of A/R, A/P, ledgers, collections, client/supplier portals (Coupa, Cash Pro, etc)
- Accounting: lead the period end close, preparation of accurate & timely financial statements, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Forecast, journal entries/reconciliations, depreciation/accruals, cash management/bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, annual budgets, including maintaining accurate general ledger and chart of accounts
- Accounting: lead sensitive payroll administration and prep via managing employee status, records, wages, pre and post tax deductions, withholdings, benefits and state compliance
- Finance: lead accounts payable by maintaining our vendor list, terms, processing invoices, managing collections, correspondence, execute weekly check runs, ACH/Wire transfers and record keeping
- Finance: lead accounts receivables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of collections by preparing estimates, job cost reports, progress, final invoices, follow up and correspondence
- Accounting: lead treasury function by owning accuracy of cash accounts, bank relationships, daily account activity, reconciliation, intercompany transfers, ACH, wires and daily balances
- Human Resources: lead the administration of Group Health Insurance, Supplemental Insurance, 401K Plan, Cobra, and other perks/benefits
- Human Resources: lead the recruitment, sourcing, interviews, onboarding/offboarding of talent
- Human Resources: manage Trakstar (employee evaluation tool) and assist the CFO in planning and executing annual employee evaluations
- Human Resources: key liaison with outside legal group regarding sensitive employment matters
- Finance: support the monthly budgeting and forecasting process
- Finance: establish financial targets and KPIs, monitor and report performance
- Finance: employ ad-hoc analysis to support strategic business decisions (hiring, investments, disbursements, proposals, performance, facilities, new business, overhead, direct labor)
- Finance: key liaison with Project Management & Account Teams, proactive job cost management by owning the open job list, reconciliations, progress billing and record keeping and audits
- Accounting: liason with outside CPA firm to assure corporate income tax compliance and accurate/timely completion of all corporate income tax returns, forms, submissions
- IT: act as first point of contact for Bakery’s third party IT service, manage software licenses, subscriptions, equipment tracking/inventory, and lease agreements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in a Accounting and Finance preferably in marketing/advertising/media industry
- Core knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles including Debits/Credits, Revenue Recognition, Accrual Accounting, Work In Progress, Financial Modeling, Budget and Profitability analysis, Variance Analysis, Forecasting, and Reporting
- Command of Intuit Quickbooks; advanced MS Excel modeling skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups, Logic formulas, conditional formatting), KeyNote a plus
- Strong business acumen with demonstration of problem diagnosis skills
- Ability to present data in a polished, easy to read and succinct way
- Professional, organized, mature and able to work with highly sensitive data
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with diverse groups inside and outside of agency
