Full Job Description

Summary:

The Senior Environmental Scientist will be responsible for leading and performing field investigations, preparing technical reports, and mentoring staff for a wide variety of project types across Texas (commercial, residential, public, and transportation). This position will work in a collaborative, dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment and will represent the Quiddity brand and culture both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate as one of the firm’s technical staff members with respect to the disciplines related to Environmental Science and Engineering.
  • Assist in the management of numerous project tasks simultaneously with potentially widely varying environmental scopes of work.
  • Conduct Field Investigations – Visual Inspections and Multimedia sampling.
  • Manage the installation and sampling of soil borings, temporary monitor wells, and permanent monitor wells.
  • Assist in the preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Perform field studies including Wetlands and Waters of the U.S. delineations and endangered species habitat assessments.
  • Author technical reports in accordance with the ASTM, TCEQ, USACE, TPWD/USFWS, and RRC Guidelines.
  • Perform Risk Based Calculations.
  • Manage and interpret laboratory analytical data.
  • Manage aspects of client accounts and approve subcontractor invoices.
  • Develop Site Maps and other pertinent drawings using Arc GIS.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing clients and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Forestry, Natural Resources, Range Management, Wild Life Management or related fields.
  • 4+ years of Environmental Science and Engineering.
  • CWB and/or PWS certification a plus.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Can work flexible schedules and overtime as required to support project requirements.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.
