We're looking for a Senior level Creative Producer to serve as principal collaborator, curator and organizer of talent for some of our key clients. You will be an integral part of the creative process from the outset, not just executing but actively collaborating with teams across Creative, Account Services, Project Management, Design, Business Affairs, and Legal. You'll help identify the best creative skills, makers, craftspeople, mediums and production paths forward to deliver market-beating, award-winning work.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, ranging from leading smaller projects to co-managing larger initiatives alongside senior producers, and mentoring assistant producers and internal creators.
We need someone with exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills, agility and resourcefulness, coupled with strong industry connections across many disciplines such as editing, animation, design, illustration, architectural design, and more. Primary Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Co-manage all facets of production from the initial concept to final delivery alongside agency Producers. This includes overseeing content creation, digital media, photography, and experiential events, but also variable media and co-branding deliveries that may include the creation of apparel, hardware/ software, retail environments, CPG, toys and other goods.
- Central Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between the agency’s various departments—including strategy, creative, design, accounts, PM, and media—and external production partners. Offer expert guidance on all aspects of production, including animation, photography, physical fabrication, studio services, video shooting, editing, and digital specifications.
- Roster Management: Be a master of the Rolodex for us regarding external partners. Find, vet, negotiate fees, and manage an impressive list of multidisciplinary partners who can help us deliver incredible work.
- Scoping and Budget: Develop and manage project scope, budget and schedules alongside agency departments and external partners. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, communicating any variability with initial scopes clearly, early and often.
- Standards: As a Senior Creative Producer, we need you to help manage our standards and find opportunities to raise the bar of our project deliverables by adding better talent, ideal skills, new craftsmanship, and/ or adding to the creative conversation regarding medium and unearth opportunities.
- Compliance and Documentation: Collaborate with the Business Affairs department to manage all legal and compliance aspects of productions, from conducting risk assessments to ensuring all necessary documentation and reconciliations are complete.
Requirements
- 5+ years of agency experience in production.
- At least 2-3 years in a creative role, preferably Art Department or Editing.
- A leading and proven ability to identify and recruit top talent from various fields including designers, visual artists, directors, cinematographers, illustrators, animators, editors, musicians, content creators, experiential marketing partners, influencer networks, as well as expertise in asset search and licensing.
- Excellent knowledge of project budgeting, resource management and scheduling, and time management.
- Familiarity with union guidelines and the basics of evaluating bids for production (AICP), post-production (AICE), photography, and other vendor services, coupled with robust negotiation skills.
- Exceptional multitasking skills to manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining composure.
- Quick adaptability and problem-solving capabilities in dynamic environments.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on follow-through.
- Meticulous attention to detail, recognizing that small elements can significantly impact the success of a production.
- Proven ability to collaborate, promote communication, and inspire teamwork between a group of multidisciplinary people.
- Working experience with Microsoft Office, Slack, and Smartsheets.
- An intense drive to “get things done”, making innovative ideas come to life without having the perfect guidebook on how to do it.
- Impeccable communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Must submit a portfolio showing market-leading work for well-known brands, ideally work that's been recognized in the award circuit.
