Overview:
Above all, you must know your craft and love words. You should excel at ideating and writing compelling long- and short-form copy in a variety of media – direct response pieces, multi-channel ad campaigns, websites, blogs, email campaigns. You’ll partner with art directors, creative directors, SEO experts and client service to create and write creative work that gets results. The pace can be fast, but you won’t go it alone. You’ll be part of a creative team that supports each other. Sometimes you’ll have to sell your ideas to team members, client service and the client, so verbal skills come in handy too.
Responsibilities:
- Proceed from creative brief to finished copy, with guidance from a creative director.
- Collaborate with an art director to create concepts that are innovative, effective and on strategy.
- Write compelling headlines and body copy that are on strategy. This includes online display, websites, blogs, email campaigns, direct mail, scripts and ads.
- Self-review to ensure polished copy.
- Ideate with team members to develop creative concepts.
- Build professional relationships with coworkers throughout the agency.
- Preserve the brand integrity of each client.
- Work within deadlines and budgets, meeting clients’ expectations and living up to ndm’s high creative standards.
Requirements
Qualifications and experience:
- 6+ years of advertising copywriting experience
- Senior living and/or health care experience preferred
- Required: a portfolio that demonstrate creative talents and writing skills
- Must have a command of the English language: vocabulary, grammar, spelling and structure
- Imagination and judgement to generate persuasive, strategic ideas and words
- Team player with an eagerness to collaborate
- Detail- and deadline-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Understand a creative brief and deliver strategic work
Skills and abilities:
- Microsoft Suite
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Mac operating system
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize
