Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety programs and policies
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Provide safety training to employees on various topics including hazard identification, safety procedures, and emergency preparedness
• Investigate incidents and accidents to determine the root cause, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence
• Maintain safety records and documentation
• Collaborate with management to develop and improve safety processes
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices in occupational health and safety
• Promote a positive safety culture and awareness among employees

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or related field
• Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to conduct inspections and risk assessments
• Effective communication and training skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in using safety management systems and tools
• Professional certifications such as OSHA 30-hour General Industry, First Aid/CPR, or equivalent are a plus
• Previous experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is preferred
