The Role

We're seeking skilled and dedicated Run Technicians to join our innovative team. In this pivotal position, you'll operate cutting-edge mobile pyrolysis systems across the Southern United States, converting agricultural residue into biochar directly in the fields. This unique role puts you at the forefront of the growing carbon removal industry while supporting sustainable agriculture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and navigate mobile pyrolysis systems through customer fields with precision and efficiency
• Conduct biochar production at field edges and stationary sites as needed
• Analyze real-time operational data (temperatures, pressures, gas compositions) to optimize system performance
• Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and prompt issue resolution
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mobile systems and associated equipment
• Apply your technical expertise to resolve mechanical, electrical, and fluid power system challenges
• Collect and handle soil, biomass, and biochar samples following strict protocols
• Maintain detailed operational logs, maintenance records, and incident reports
• Collaborate with the team to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety by adhering to and enforcing all safety protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operational data
• Strong problem-solving skills and composure under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to travel extensively (75% travel required) to customer sites
• Physical capability to lift and move heavy equipment (at least 50 lbs)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred qualifications:

• Passion for agriculture, environmental sustainability, and innovative technologies
• Proven experience operating, maintaining, and repairing heavy agricultural equipment
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and fluid power system
