Registered Nurse Director of Surgical Services

Corp Talent Resources is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - Director of Surgical Services to lead our client's surgical team in providing top-notch patient care. In this vital position, you will be responsible for overseeing all surgical operations, ensuring that the highest standards of safety and excellence are maintained in the surgical environment. Your leadership will drive the department towards achieving outstanding surgical outcomes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Surgical Services department, including personnel management and coordination of surgical operations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Foster a culture of quality improvement and patient safety across all surgical services.
• Conduct staff training and performance evaluations to enhance team skills and provide mentorship.
• Work closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists to optimize surgical schedules and enhance patient flow.
• Analyze departmental budgets, operational procedures, and resource management to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Promote interdepartmental collaboration to ensure comprehensive patient care and support.

Requirements

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting with surgical services management.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Current and valid RN license in TX or multi-state compact license.
• Preferred: Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR).
• Preferred: Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM).
