Registered Nurse Director of Cardiovascular Services

In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the entire cardiovascular services department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and the maintenance of high clinical standards. You will be responsible for the management and development of staff, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, and driving quality improvement initiatives within the service line. Your expertise in cardiovascular nursing and management will be crucial in fostering a patient-centered environment while maximizing the efficient use of resources.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operations of the cardiovascular services department, including inpatient and outpatient care.
• Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to develop and implement comprehensive care protocols.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinical best practices.
• Mentor and lead nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
• Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
• Manage department budgets, staffing, and resource allocation effectively.
• Foster collaboration and communication across all levels of staff and departments.

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements to be Considered:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required 
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Management preferred 
• 2+ years experience in cardiovascular setting including Cath Lab RN experience required 
• 1+ years’ experience in management required 
• Registered Nurse or Licensed Technologist with one of the following credentials: RN, RCIS, RT(R) required 
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS certification a within 90 days of hire date
