We have seen rapid expansion over the past few years within the relocation and multifamily apartment industries - with over 600,000 apartment units working with us. In addition to rescuing food during move out, Move for Hunger also organizes hundreds of food drives, fundraisers, and corporate employee engagement events. In addition, we've expanded our reach to farmers, distributors, CPG and logistics companies in an effort to recover even more fresh food. Since its founding, Our team of 20+ has delivered more than 45 million pounds of food to those in need - enough to provide more than 38 million meals.

Move For Hunger is seeking a Regional Development Manager to help grow our footprint and impact in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area. This individual will be pivotal in nurturing connections with local businesses, foundations, event planners, and compassionate individuals to advance our cause of combating food waste and hunger. You will be instrumental in driving revenue through various avenues, including community involvement, sponsorships, corporate alliances, individual contributions. Further, this role is pivotal in establishing grass-roots, local community connections to foster grant and foundation revenue acquisitions in collaboration with the Move For Hunger Grant Writer. These efforts are bolstered by the supportive team collaboration within our Development & Marketing teams and mission delivery through our Programming team. You will play a central role in elevating our presence and influence throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area, this is a remote role based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This opportunity is tailored for a proactive, outcome-oriented expert adept at converting prospects into allies and allies into benefactors seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of priority corporations, corporate foundations, CEOs, C-Suite executives, event & conference planners, major donors, and other high-impact individuals;
  • Responsible for prospect research, donor cultivation, stewardship practices, and donor retention, supporting fundraising goals;
  • Collaborating with the development team, develop and implement a comprehensive regional fundraising strategy that includes employee engagement events, sponsorship opportunities, corporate donations, grants, and major gifts;
  • Elevate our mission by effectively communicating our goals and impacts and forging strategic alliances and partnerships that enhance our visibility and fundraising efforts;
  • Lead regional events, attending in-person and virtual events; additional overnight travel supporting Move For Hunger may occur outside of the region;
  • Promote and manage fundraising events customized for local audiences, secure sponsors, and serve as the Move For Hunger representative in recruiting volunteers and organizing event steering committees as needed;
  • Setup and breakdown local events; must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds with frequent bending, kneeling, or reaching; expected to be on your feet for long periods during event days;
  • In collaboration with the Director of Development, monitor and analyze fundraising data to assess performance and modify strategies as necessary to maximize predetermined revenue goals;
  • Prepare periodic reports on regional activities and achievements for senior management;
  • Effectively function in a highly cross-functional team in planning, implementing, and executing programs, sponsorship & partnership presentations, cultivation, stewardship, and events;
  • Ensure prompt communication with organic inbound leads while proactively seeking out external leads to meet various strategic goals;
  • Responsible for timely and accurate data entry practices into the organization’s Salesforce CRM for up-to-date record keeping and account management;
  • Represent the organization at all public events, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen current relationships and identify new opportunities for engagement;

Requirements

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in nonprofit business development with a track record of achieving 6 figure deals, as well as creating win-win corporate partnerships;
  • 2+ years of experience as part of a broad-based development team required, ideally with experience in membership, annual fund, events, development, and major/large gifts, sponsorships, partnerships stewardship, or similar outbound sales experience;
  • Experience with Matching Gifts, CSR, Corporate Giving, and Employee Engagement, Corporate Partnerships;
  • Possess an established network within local communities and demonstrate proficiency in cultivating grassroots networks. This includes experience in grass-root network scaling, working closely with community organizations and foundations to foster collaboration and support organizational objectives;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite; we use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Experience with Slack & Salesforce / CRM, a plus;
  • Experience with Trade Associations, Managing and Engaging with Conference Exhibitors, and Suppliers, a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, this work from home position requires periodic travel, site visits for meetings, and events.
  • Regularly work indoors, with occasional requirements for outdoor work;
  • May, on occasion, be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment, event audio sound equipment, etc.;
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer;
  • Occasional prolonged periods of standing while traveling and attending conferences, trade shows, and various Move For Hunger events and meetings;
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and infrequently up to 50 pounds.
