Refrigeration Technician

Assists in refrigeration installation/repair and general maintenance activities as assigned.

Requirements

Essential Duties:

1.    Exhibits regular and punctual attendance.

2.    Utilizing wire diagrams and other instructions, installs, repairs and replaces components of refrigeration equipment as assigned.

3.    Repairs and maintains refrigeration equipment (i.e. walk-in coolers, freezers, AC units, etc.) as assigned.

4.    Assists in general maintenance activities as assigned.

5.    Assists in the provision of training and safety education for residents in refrigeration and general maintenance activities.

6.    Provides “on-call” services as required.

7.    Assists in ensuring that shop area is clean, maintained, safe, and organized.

8.    Ensures that maintenance/repair tasks are completed in a timely manner.

9.    Assists in ensuring that all maintenance equipment assigned is properly utilized and maintained.

10. Exhibits appropriate interaction with residents.

Job Specifications:

1.    A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.

2.    Must possess a current certification in refrigeration (Type I/II) from the Refrigeration Service Engineering Society, or similar certification.

3.    A minimum of 4 years experience as a refrigeration technician (installation and maintenance) is required.

4.    Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.

5.    Must be at least 21 years of age.

6.    Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing

7.    Must possess a valid driver’s license.

8.    Must be available for travel as needed.
