We are looking for a Quantitative Market Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of creating a cleaner, more sustainable world.

Job Summary

As a Quantitative Market Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our strategic decision-making process through data-driven insights. Leveraging your expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive analytics, you will analyze market trends, evaluate project feasibility, and optimize our portfolio for maximum impact and profitability. Your work will directly influence the development of our solar projects and contribute to our overall success in the renewable energy market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced statistical and machine learning models to forecast energy prices, demand, and supply dynamics in the PJM and MISO markets.
  • Perform quantitative analysis to assess market opportunities, risks, and competitive dynamics, informing strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, commercial structuring, and business development, to integrate optimization solutions and drive project success.
  • Lead the enhancement of our analytical tools and processes, transitioning from traditional models to more sophisticated, automated workflows using Python and R.
  • Manage and analyze large datasets using SQL, Python, and R, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.

Location: Position is local to Houston with a hybrid office policy.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Finance, or a related field. Candidates currently pursuing an MBA or equivalent with a focus on quantitative analysis are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience in a quantitative analysis role, preferably within the renewable energy sector or related industries.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other data analysis tools. Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and project management.
