Full Job Description

1 Resource Group is hiring for a Quality Specialist for our client that is located on the North side of Houston! Experience in Steam Turbines is a plus!

Position Summary: The Quality Specialist III position develops, implements and maintains quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Engages in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
  • Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
  • Provides technical and statistical expertise to teams.
  • Formulates, documents, and maintains quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives along with ISO roles.
  • Performs internal audits for ISO procedures and maintains ISO certification.
  • Reports to management any production improvements or deficiencies.
  • Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Creates, documents, and implements inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
  • Provides, and oversees, inspection activity for products throughout the production cycle.
  • Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
  • Maintains active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
  • Designs, develops, and implements quality control training programs.

$28.00-$33.00 hr DOE

Requirements

eneral Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
  • Ensures communications with customers, suppliers, vendors, and co-workers are professional and appropriate.
  • Performs assigned duties according to the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company with adherence to all safety rules, regulations and the required personal protective equipment/ testing set forth by the employer.
  • Job Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Work Experience:
  • 5- year quality related experience
  • Preferred knowledge of power industry
