The Role:

A Python Developer is passionate about writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code and has experience in developing scalable web applications and APIs.  You are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions using Python. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and deliver robust and scalable applications.  

Key Areas of Responsibility   

• Design, develop and maintain robust and scalable Python-based web applications and RESTful APIs.  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and architect new features.  
• Write efficient, reusable, and testable code.  
• Create automated test cases to prevent code regression.  
• Troubleshoot, debug and fix issues in existing software.  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.  
• Participates in identifying areas for improvements in code by performing code reviews to ensure quality code  
• Be a persistent, creative problem solver.   
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.   

Ideal candidates for this role will live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth TX areas. While our day-to-day work is done remotely, our teams gather in person for intentional work.

Requirements

• Proficiency developing application with a focus on data science and analytics  
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field   
• 5+ years of experience as a software developer  

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP.  
• Experience with containerization and microservice technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes  
• Strong understanding of Python (scripting and web development), with proficiency in Django, Flask or similar frameworks  
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL or MariaDB  
• Experience non-relational databases such as NoSQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB, Vector databases  
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS and JavaScript  
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including version control (Git/Bitbucket), testing methodologies and CI/CD pipelines, Devops.  
• Experience working in an agile environment  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.
