Pump Mechanic

1 Resource Group is currently hiring a Pump Mechanic for our client located in Alvin, TX. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing hands-on repairs and maintenance on pumps and related equipment. You will work in a team-oriented environment to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of the equipment. Must be able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions
• Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of pumps, including centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, and submersible pumps
• Inspect and test pumps to ensure proper functioning and performance
• Replace and repair defective parts, such as seals, valves, bearings, and impellers
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication and cleaning
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and completely
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient and effective operations
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pump Mechanic or similar role working on ANSI pumps
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of pump operation and maintenance
• Experience with centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, and submersible pumps
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
